Abstract

Scientific research in the field of medicine requires up-to-date and accurate knowledge to address patient conditions and global epidemiology. However, long review times in some journals demotivate student researchers, affecting scientific production. Studies show a decrease in student production, which has led to the promotion of student journals through social networks. Medical science students sacrifice their rest to research, which increases stress and affects sleep quality. Excessive review times cause students to lose interest in research. The importance of ensuring the quality of publications and the author's right to quick responses in the review process is highlighted. Editorial teams are advised to meet established deadlines to improve editorial flow and respect the time invested by authors.
