Clinical and epidemiological characterization of patients affected by condylomaacuminatum

Abstract

Introduction: the condylomaacuminatum prevails in the world population, which has elevated its incidence in the last years and it represents a great medical and psychological problem to who you/they suffer it.

Objective: to characterize clinical and epidemically to patient with condylomaacuminatum.

Methodological Design: it was carried out an observational, descriptive and traverse study in the Educational Policlinic Camilo Cienfuegos Gorriarán, San Cristobal, Artemisa; in the period 2016-2019. The universe was conformed by 166 patients affected by condylomaacuminatum; a deliberate sampling was not applied randomized where the entirety of the universe was studied. The variables were: age, sex, antecedent Infections of Sexual Transmission, civil state, changes of even sexual, localization of the lesions and use of the condom. The data were picked up starting from the clinical histories and he/she conformed to a database in SPSS; for their prosecution it was used the percentage and absolute frequencies; and the arithmetic stocking and the standard deviation for quantitative variables.

Results: the masculine patients prevailed (68,7%) between 20 and 30 years (50%) with a stocking of 27,1 ± 10,3 years, single (61,4%), among three four changes of even sexual (56%) and simple personal antecedents of Herpes (31,3%). The genital localization of the lesions was the most frequent (59%) and the one inadequate of the condom prevailed (86,7%).

Conclusions: The infection for condylomaacuminatum was more frequent in patient masculine young with single civil state (to). it was frequent the co-infection for simple Herpes and the genital localization of thecondyloma lesions. The change of even sexual and the inadequate use of the condom was closely related with the infection for this ITS.
