Anti-Plagiarism Policy
The MedEst editorial team requests that authors interested in publishing use original material for which they hold moral rights and that has not been submitted for review or published in whole or in part in any other national or international journal. If the manuscript has been submitted to a conference or preprint server, this must be stated in the submission. The authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with the above.
All articles are subject to review processes to detect possible plagiarism, and the recommendations issued by the COPE for the resolution of ethical conflicts are adopted.(http://publicationethics.org/files/All_Flowcharts_Spanish_0.pdf)
The journal's editors will always conduct a plagiarism detection process using the StrikePlagiarism.com system before beginning the editorial process and will check the bibliographic references.
If the similarity percentage between texts is greater than 20%, the work will be considered plagiarized, and the editors will contact the authors to clarify the circumstances or assess possible rejection.
If a previous version of the article has been published, this must be expressly indicated in the notes. The new version must include substantial changes.
Note: The journal will reject articles found to be plagiarized, informing the authors and their respective institutions. Furthermore, it will sanction authors who committed fraud through regulations related to publishing in the journal.
