Characterization of the movement of correspondents of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas from 2020-2022

Introduction: communication is considered one of the fundamental points for the work of the University Student Federation (FEU). The Correspondents Movement is the working group dedicated primarily to the communication work of the organization.
Objective: to characterize the movement of correspondents from the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas.
Methods: an observational, descriptive and cross-sectional study was carried out on students belonging to the correspondent movement of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas during the period 2020-2022. The universe consisted of 147 correspondents. The variables analyzed were: sex, career, center of origin, years of seniority, social networks used and recognitions granted. Descriptive statistics were used.
Results: there was evidence of a predominance of correspondents corresponding to the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Matanzas with 98 for 66.66 %, the medical career had a greater representativeness with 63.94 %, the predominant sex was female with 87, 39 45 % of the correspondents presented 1 year of seniority in the movement, it is evident that 100 % of the correspondents used Whatsapp as a first-line social network.
Conclusions: the University Of Medical Sciences Of Matanzas during the period 2020-2022 had a group of correspondents where the majority were female, with 1 year of seniority, from the Faculty of Medical Sciences of Matanzas. The greatest representativeness was from the medical career. 100 % of the correspondents used whatsapp as a first line social network.
