About the Journal
MedEst Journal is the official scientific dissemination body of the University Student Federation (FEU) of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas, in the Republic of Cuba. Aimed at medical science students and professionals, it publishes scientific articles continuously, combining tradition and innovation.
Its logo—the Staff of Asclepius with a mortarboard—symbolizes the union between academic training and professional practice.
MedEst is a transformative project that strengthens undergraduate research, contributing to national and international scientific development in the health sector.
It is published by the Information Center of the University of Medical Sciences of Matanzas, in collaboration with Editorial Ciencias Médicas, Havana, and is registered under ISSN 2789-7567 and RNPS 2524.
